Continuing with the whispers and innuendo theme, the GOP also had issues with Barack Obama this week.
- Radio shock jock Bill Cunningham made a series of inappropriate statements in advance of an appearance by presumptive GOP nominee John McCain in Ohio on Tuesday (see Odds and Ends 3 below);
- Republicans are having an all-out family feud about the appropriateness of using Obama's middle name, Hussein, in attacks against him;
- Former Jimmy Carter Chief of Staff Hamilton Jordan gave the Obama campaign some free advice in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution this week; and
- The GOP pondered what Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan's Obama endorsement means and
a general election attack strategy against him.
